The Role
I was given a lot of responsibility and treated like an equal
I has never talked down to and people were happy to spend time explaining things which did not make sense to me
Under constant supervision and I was given lots of contact details so I was never without support
Where I had little to do there were always other bits and bobs I could get involved in
I was very surprised how much LBG trusted me and the level of responsibility I was given
Not hugely relevant to my degree subject but did give me a valuable experience of what a 9-5 office job is like and I really improved my IT skills
The Company
Very friendly. People did have important jobs to get on with so occasionally there were times of silence in the office but this was made up for on team nights out
Very well organised. I had a call before starting to make sure I felt at ease throughout my time here and my role was well explained at the beginning (this is something that did not haven on a previous internship)
I feel like people took time away from their own jobs just to help me improve my skills (e.g. people spending hours teaching me the best way to take minutes and re-teaching me formatting in Excel)
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
Very, I am hoping to work for LBG after I graduate
The Culture
Not hugely. This was more of e reflection of the people I was living with rather than the city though
Fantastic!
Great, just a shame that the other interns weren't keen on going out
I took some trips with work and was allowed days off to help with charity work
