The Role
Yeah it was really good, gave me an in-depth insight of data analysis which is something I was genuinely interested in. Furthermore, they gave me the option to travel and explore different sides of the business such as; risk, SME and insurance baking allowing me to further increase my knowledge about the bank
I felt extremely valued by my colleagues. Not only did I get to know my team personally, I felt like I was apart of a family as the job I was in relied heavily on interactions with different employees based on their expertise. LBG also hosted numerous off sites which allowed me to further build my relationships with the workers around me.
At the start, my manager explained everything to me and walked me through each process from learning how the bank works to analysing large quantities of data, as I got the hag of it. He gave me enough support so I felt I wasn't stranded but not too much so I felt like I did not learn anything
This varied from day to day, some days I always had things to do and some days I was learning about different parts of the bank as there were not as much to do. however I feel like that is due to my current knowledge of the bank and the nature of the working environment. I feel like my colleagues did try very hard to minimise this though.
I felt like I was given a lot of responsibility, which was good because it always made me feel like I was constantly being pushed. I were given several projects throughout my internship to increase m understanding of the back and to understand how the procedures of corporate learning worked
gave me an in-depth insight of data analysis which is something I was genuinely interested in. Furthermore, they gave me the option to travel and explore different sides of the business such as; risk, SME and insurance baking allowing me to further increase my knowledge about the bank. all of which I thought can be applied to my degree
The Company
My office was very relaxed and innovatively driven. consequently this made it an amazing place to be and always made it feel like you wasn't working. It's something that I hope more businesses can adopt in the foreseeable future! in general, everyone was also quite young in my office which is quite nice for people still in university.
My office was very relaxed and innovatively driven. consequently this made it an amazing place to be and always made it feel like you wasn't working. This was also the general Ethos throughout the internship - people were very relaxed and were all about easing you into the company the best way possible. This made the internship less stressful and gave it a relaxed vibe.
The company spent a lot of money paying for my travel around the country, access to various desktops and servers in order to become familiar with how the company works in detail. Since the company is very heavily reliant on the sociability of the employees they through events to help us network with other people.

Since the company is very heavily reliant on the sociability of the employees they through events to help us network with other people. Due to this reason it makes me want to invest my time in the company, furthermore the chance to make a difference in the banking world is something I want to get behind. This makes me feel like I have the drive to want to work hard and impress my manager and the company.

Being in central London is very expensive but it has such a wide range of genre's of clubs and bars that you can go to, you can never have a bad night out in London. Due to the price, people did go out less in London which I guess probably the bad thing about living in London.
