The Role
Everyone was extremely friendly and welcoming creating a great environment to work. I was given a project to work on for the 10weeks which involved gaining information from senior staff who were busy however they took the time to meet with me and expressed interest in the project trying to help me as much as they could. I am left to manage my working hours which allows me to be flexible providing a great work-life balance.
Very valued - colleagues always happy to meet with me to help me on my project and with day to day tasks.
My supervisor was head of the site therefore often busy and I was left to my own devices giving me more responsibility. More support for my decisions and advice would have been helpful to speed up the progress of my project.
Very busy - always with things to tick off on my to-do list
I was responsible for the progress of my project which impacted on a large number of people. It was up to me to organise meetings and calls.
I have learned more about the presentation of numerical data and interactions with customers
The Company
Very friendly and enthusiastic. At least two people say good morning to me when I walk in :)
The group organisation was fairly good and the information on emails was always informative. It would have been beneficial to receive information on placement location further in advance and instead of sending a pack of information to line managers and graduate buddies maybe a call could have been set up to prevent miscommunication of important details.
Very good - training pack specifically for our internship
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Very appealing - great graduate scheme and young working environment
The Culture
Yes! Interns in charity teams and a charity ball.
Fairly cheap
Great - would have been able to experience it if i didn't have to commute so far to work.
Not really other than social events.
