  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • It was really interesting, definitely very good insight into the world of engineering!

    • Everyone was incredibly welcoming and willing to teach you more!

    • My Line Manager was brilliant! Was always willing to teach me more about engineering and push my abilities with new tasks and projects.

    • Some days you felt like you had too much to do and others you could relax and just learn about engineering in Atkins.

    • I worked and contributed on real projects.

    • Both practical and technical skills were vastly developed.

    • Calm and Friendly.

    • I knew exactly who to turn to and where to go from day one.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • First Friday the whole department went to the pub together to welcome the new and say goodbye to those moving on. Very welcoming and caring company!

    • Student accommodation was readily available so you didn't have to break the piggy bank.

    • Birmingham has a great night life.

    • Not really but I was only there for 6 weeks.
