The Role
I enjoyed my internship immensely, in regards to actual placement and work. I felt like I was contributing and was learning. However the Charity Challenge consumed much time and created stress based on poor organisation of the planners- rules and regulations and even the very basis of the challenge had to be chased up, the resolution of which we did not receive until halfway through. It was the only dampener of my internship.
I felt like I was contributing to aiding the running of the office and felt well valued for the work I was doing.
I was well supported by my line managers and colleagues around me, I never felt abandoned and always knew I could ask questions and be supported in my work.
Day to day business depended project to project, and on whether charity challenge projects were being run. On certain days there was too much work, and at the beginning understandably there was too little, but overall the balance was good.
I had responsibility for the projects given me, but was within the guidance of the overall larger project.
I've not yet had a chance to apply elsewhere
The Company
A great and friendly atmosphere that didn't interfere with work but made it more enjoyable.
The work itself and my line manager were excellent. Reed were a shambles in terms of being able to comprehend different work hours and the basic day to day running of what they had to do. The charity challenge was poorly conceived and set up. (Case in point, if Lloyds branding cannot be used on external events, but the majority of events should be external, and raising awareness is 50% of the challenge criteria, and we have little information to actually say about the partnership other then vague commentary and monetary promises, how is this a clearly defined and achievable set of goals for everyone to be on the same page? This disregarding that it was on our backs to push for definition, clarification and to check that we were within group responsibility guidelines.)
Training in the various programmes I needed, giving me time for this was excellent. Allowing me to go to London to shadow other work teams was excellent and gave me real insight into the group.
Flexi Time
National Travel
The internship has greatly increased my interest with working for the group.
The Culture
Lack of knowing who everyone was/ living in a place where you could actually see people meant there was segregation and not a great social scene outside the group you were in.
Reasonable, most weekends I was away, so I didn't spend so much time to give an accurate response.

Excellent fun with pub rally, not much otherwise.
