    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Environment was nice, good working place, however internship over the summer in audit isn't great timing due to it being the quiet season and due to sometimes there being a lack of work.

    2/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Everyone is very friendly, but people don't have much work to do themselves at the moment and so struggle to find work to give you.

    3/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My Counsellor was great, very friendly and open and made me feel at ease if I wanted to ask any questions.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • The main problem, and something I feel I was unlucky about, I don't think the other interns had as little to do as me.

    1/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Not that much but seeing as we had no prior experience I don't think you can expect to have that much responsibility!

    3/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills I picked up may not be applicable to my degree, but if I were to be offered a job it would definitely give me a head start over people who hadn't done an internship, and you don't realise you're picking up the skills until people ask you to do tasks and you are able to do them without explanation.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Atmosphere was a positive, set up of the office was nice and no one was intimidating, everyone always willing to answer any questions.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • I feel the interns were hired not because there was work to do just because it is the done thing to hire interns and move them through to the grad scheme, no clear layout to our 6 weeks.

    2/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Lots of web based learning and people very happy to explain things to you and coach you through different tasks.

    3/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Sports and Social Club

    Working from home

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • All interns are expected to progress through to the grad scheme.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes all interns are keen to socialize, however due to audit often being out the office it is hard to have a big social as people are rarely in the same place.

    3/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • n/a

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Very good in Leeds, big city

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Football every wednesday

    3/5
