The Role
Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
Everyone I worked with was appreciative of the work I completed.
Everyone, no matter how senior, was happy to help with even the tiniest query I had.
I never felt I had too much work, most days I had enough to keep me occupied all day. Some days I was waiting for work to be assigned to me but when this was the case I worked on the Interns group project.
I felt I had a lot of responsibility however not too much pressure as all the work completed would be reviewed (as standard procedure) by a senior before being signed off by the manager.
The skills didn't particularly help in my Mathematics degree but I value the skills I learnt that will help me when I get a job about my degree.
The Company
Everyone was up for a laugh but not too distracting. People knew to be sensible and get on with the job but no one seemed too stressed to have a laugh with the team.
Everything was very well organized. Only problem was one day I wasn't told the team was working in the office (due to train strike) so I drove to the client, as previously instructed, and then was told I had to drive the 2.5 hour journey back again.
The firm was helpful in training us interns. We had online training sessions and a group skype call 'lunch and learn' each week
They were very helpful in letting us know the process and how close we were in getting offered a graduate job.
The Culture
There were a few times the interns and other colleagues got together for social events. The interns were not left out of these at all.
We didn't go to the cheapest bars on the social, but it was fun and worth the extra couple quid for a pint.
Southampton night life is varied and I enjoyed the night out with work.
There were a handful of 'drinking' social events and some sporting activities to get involved with.
