The Role
It was very enjoyable and provided me with opportunities to expand my knowledge of accounting procedures whilst working in a friendly and helpful environment.
On most of the jobs I was assigned I was given work to do which I felt contributed to the overall aim of the assignment.
All of my supervisors provided me with all the help and guidance I could have needed and made me feel very welcome and appreciated.
On most days I was busy but there was one week where I wasn't given much to do because it was quiet in the office.
I was given a variety of tasks which I felt were appropriate for my level.
I have managed to develop my ability to interact with a variety of people at different levels within a professional environment.
The Company
The office was very friendly and all of the EY staff made me feel very welcome and at ease when I was working there for long periods.
It was reasonably well organized with the exception of the week I didn't have much to do - this was more to do with the person I was working with rather than the company.
The firm invested time in training me and providing me a range of web based learnings to complete in the relevant industry.
EY would be a great firm to work for full time as they are a very well organized and friendly firm.
The Culture
There were socials planned within EY and out with the firm with other EY interns.
