  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Thoroughly enjoyable. Great working environment.

  • Felt welcomed and included.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Loads of support from everyone in the firm. No-one is off limits to talk with. Manager regularly checked in with my progress and arranged meetings to explain concepts and processes.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • When not working at my desk, time was filled with meeting as many people as I could across the firm and shadowing on different desks.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Regularly trusted with value-adding work. Often good to ask for responsibility however.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Learning curve was very steep. Great exposure and skills gained to progress my career with.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Friendly working atmosphere. Feel comfortable and able to speak to anyone. Great facilities also.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Extremely well structured. Training week at start was a great way to build knowledge before the actual role. Even during the role, HR were constantly organising enjoyable extra-curricular activities. The 2 week rotation towards the end of the internship provides great insight into another area of the firm.

  • Full training week was invaluable. It was ensured that I understood everything thoroughly and was progressing my knowledge and abilities.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Very good social scene. Regular meet ups on Friday evenings and lunch times.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • London isn't cheap, but that is to be expected.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Good range of bars nearby. Shoreditch is walkable also.

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Yes. Played 5-a-side football, helped at a CSR event and had the opportunity to abseil down the office building.
