The Role
It's been a steep learning curve with lots of ups and downs and challenges but I've learned a lot and developed myself.
Having two others on a similar course has really helped and the support of floor staff and section management has been really appreciated
I feel like support from higher management could've been a lot better especially in the beginning. Also meant to have support from a regional sponsor but this was never received.
There's always something to do especially in a store as big as cribbs.
This varied between the different departments I was attached too and built up during training.
I think that I've changed a lot and this experience will help me no matter what I do after university.
The Company
Didn't spend that much time in the office as there wasn't much room for BPPs or the A - level trainees.
I think there could be improvements made to the set up. I lacked clarity on who played what role towards the scheme at the beginning.
There's lots of courses and workshops that you can go on to support your in house training and also visits to head office, distribution centre and our people policy specialists as well.
Subsidised Canteen
National Travel
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
I have the opportunity to come back after I graduate.
The Culture
The two other trainees have been amazing and we will keep in touch after I finish.
Bristol has been extremely expensive to live in.
I didn't really go out here.
There's been trips to London and also charity day which was good.
