The Role
I enjoyed the work we did there an alright amount, not any kind of groundbreaking stuff but interesting enough to be engaging
I felt pretty valued by my colleagues, whenever I had a question they never dismissed it as too stupid or not worth their time. That showed me that I am valued as a part of the team.
I was given tremendous amounts of support throughout the internship, be it through colleagues helping me out when I'm stuck or be it through the mentorship program
It was not hectic neither as boring as it gets on a usual day, there is always some stuff to do usually
I was given the same amount of responsibility as a full time employee would have and I was treated as such.
Not that much to be honest, I mean the most important new thing that I learned was how to manage my time and some experience of a professional working environment
The Company
It was fun but the good kind of fun, the kind that pushes you to work harder but also to relax harder during your break and have a fun time with your colleagues
It was extremely well organized, every time that something was supposed to happen I knew it from beforehand, the desks are super clean because of the clean desk policy so that was nice
They invested in me quite a lot, I took part in the Excel VBA training course and the Professional skills training course. All that during my first two weeks interning, so you could say that was definitely a sign from the company that they value me and they are willing to invest in me.
Above 25 days holiday
They are pretty appealing, they seem pretty enthusiastic about having me in the office so I think there could be an opportunity for a job placement there.
The Culture
I didn't really participate in the scene :/
Not that much, I lived in Edinburgh and commuted to Glasgow so I wouldn't say I am the best judge to answer this question.
Well I didn't manage to have a night out in Glasgow but I know from previous years that Glasgow's nightlife is extra lively and super nice
Yea, due to the line of work that FDM does, there is always an opportunity for personnel to be placed on cite if they so want
