The Role
I enjoyed working in a relaxed but professional environment which encouraged collaboration.
Attending weekly team meetings and being able to have an input made me feel valued and quickly felt as part of the team.
Any help or advice that was required during my time was met with a swift response by my line manager. In addition more minor queries that I had, I was able to ask graduates currently on the graduate scheme who sat close to me.
I had projects which kept me busy and challenged throughout the internship. Help was always on hand if necessary.
Working on a projects with the view that they would be utilised in my division on a daily basis even after my internship felt like a lot of responsibility
I did a lot of research and programming whilst working with others on a range of different projects, which helped enhance my skill set overall. As such, it will help me in any future professional setting
The Company
Friendly and welcoming. Easy to settle in and everyone was willing to help out.
At first it seemed a bit disjointed but it was mainly due to the fact I was not 100% settled in. Once I had, everything was seamless
We were asked to complete mandatory online training which I found useful and insightful.
Working from home
Very, I enjoyed the work culture here.
The Culture
As many of us who could join would go for lunch once a week in surrounding restaurants.
London is expensive but we were paid more as interns to counter this.
London is always popping but after work sometimes you just want to head home and stick your feet up!
Yes, we were strongly encouraged to take part in fundraising for Mental Health UK, a charity supported by Lloyds. Other opportunities like work shadowing different departments were also available too.
