The Role
Good experience and exposure to clients. You can see the potential of the job after you start training and get a better understanding.
On the whole valued, but as I am still learning I felt like I hindered at times as I needed more guidance and therefore, it took more time than if they had done it.
Lots of encouragement and help.
Not massively busy. This is understandable as I was unable to perform a lot of tasks as I haven't been trained yet.
A reasonable amount. In terms of talking to clients a lot and this is mainly what I did.
yes. I will be able to use these skills in uni and for jobs in the future
The Company
Good atmosphere. Everyone is friendly and sociable but also hard working
pretty well organized. At times there were issues of communication between the central internship team and our office, but this again is understandable and everyone did their best to make sure we got the most out of the experience.
A lot. they spent time teaching me things and explaining stuff. this is good considering we are leaving after a short period of time and they don't know if we would come back or not,
Company Parties/Events
I would be really keen to take up a position at EY. It is a people centered firm that is aiming to grow in the market. It is an exciting firm to be a part of and there are many opportunities available to the company and those who work there.
The Culture
Colleagues yes but in terms of placement students this was limited. We are all on different teams and in and out of the office at different times. I get the impression you would be a lot closer with your year group once you joined as a grad due to college etc... but on the whole the social aspect has been good. Plenty of work drinks and socials.
expensive for rent. also drinks out aren't cheap but nothing more than youd expect here.
Good its a big city and a variety of things to do at night from pubs to clubs or bars.
Yes a lot of emails circulated meaning you can get involved in a lot of things.
