The Role
I enjoyed my time both from a professional and human point of view. It was a truly holistic learning experience.
The relationship was quite strong and I had the possibility to provide useful support to the desk given my possibilities.
Line managers and HR were constantly monitoring my personal career development, feedback was continuous.
The day was generally very busy (in terms of desk projects, shadowing, networking), but it allowed a good balance and life-style.
Given the possibilities that I was given by the role, I provided in some cases actual, useful support to the desks through different tasks.
The technical skills and, to a larger extent, the "life" skills I developed will be extremely useful both from a professional and personal point of view.
The Company
It was professional but at the same time it allowed for more "fun" moments sometimes if appropriate.
The desk rotations as well as the work shadowing sessions allowed me obtain a great view of the bank as a whole, beyond the desk-specific knowledge.
The training/learning sessions organized by HR supported my learning experience on the desk giving me a complete understand of most of the bank's roles/functions.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
I am still waiting for a response.
The Culture
The interns were all having a good time.
Not necessarily too expensive, average London prices.
Good places are available around.
We got involved in volunteering projects as part of our learning experience as well as we were invited to particvipate (which we did) to the JP Morgan Corporate Challenge run as well as the company's Touch Rugby sessions.
