The Role
The work environment is exceptional. The work is great as well, depending on which part of HSBC you are placed in. You will have work most of the time but there will be some times when you just sit around asking for work and no one will be able to give you any.
Absolutely valued. The work you do, the quality of it.. It will be given proper merit.
Anytime I have asked for it, I have gotten it. Wonderful Management/Supervision/Work environment.
Busy in the first 4 weeks. Whenever I asked for work I was given, so If you have the opportunity, there will be work. Second placement not so much, but still quite good.
In the beginning not that much. But as you progress through the work and ask for more, you are given more and more responsibility.
Absolutely nothing to do with the degree studies, which is great! It is actual work you can put your name to and learn actual skills you will need in the future.
The Company
Joking around, laughing, getting to know each other and doing great work. Couldn't be happier.
The first 4 week were as organised as possible. It depends on the placement you are put in. The second 4 weeks not so much.
Anything you want, anything you need, anything you have to know.. they WILL support you!
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
The organisation is widely revered and is one of the biggest in the world. If you get in, you can go anywhere!
The Culture
It is as good or as bad as you want it to be. It is all up to you. You have the freedom to get to know everyone if you want to and participate in social activities as you please.
Very low costs compared to other places.
Quite a lot of clubs and quite a lot of people around. You won't be disappointed.
Depending on the type of activities. In this particular place not so much, but overall in the company there is a lot of opportunity for any type of activity.
