The Role
I enjoyed it a lot
In Centrica you are hired to do a job, rather than make tea and coffee or sit in meetngs, therefore your contribuion is valued
My manager was always there to help and support and we held regular meetings
Sometimes busy, sometimes not. The short time nature inhibits getting involved in their things.
A fair amount, and I was able to get on with my projects
The insight into the company helps massively onto the graduate scheme and you are encouraged to get to know more about the business. The skills learnt are transferrable to future jobs.
The Company
Professional but friendly and relaxed. It's a corporate environment but equally you can have a chat and a laugh.
It was well orgaised but sometimes there was only half the information needed provided. There could be more clarity,
To a good extent, there was no formal traini g but they allowed me to develop, go on learning visits and take time out to meet people in the company, as well as go on setup summer placement activities.
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
Very much. The graduate scheme allows you to move around the business and develop as a leader before moving forward onto a managerial position within the company.
The Culture
Yes tere wa, because they provide accommodatio in a uni halls. This makes it easiser to meet the students and socialise
Cost of living and socialising is fairly high as we are close to London however it wasn't too bad and living expenses were already paid for
It is ok in Windsor, but equally it is close to London so you can go in and enjoy the nightilife there
Not really with Centrica, but there is a gym at the uni halls
