The Role
The intensity of the work fluctuated. I mostly enjoyed what I was working on, especially the longer term projects. But as with any internship, there definitely were the less engaging ah hoc work.
The people were definitely the highlight of my experience. Everyone I encountered was so friendly and I felt part of my team.
There were regular check ins and my managers were always there for support if I needed it.
Definitely depends on the day.
Some projects were going to be helpful in the long but there really wasn't enough time in my internship to work on high importance deliverables.
I developed lots of soft skills (i.e. team work, presentation, networking, etc). I asked specifically to develop more technical skills and people got me in touch with different teams to assist me in that. If you ask for it, they'll be accommodating.
The Company
Pretty friendly. Still corporate and busy, but there were definitely friendly exchanges and not too stressful.
Depends on your immediate manager.
Yes. There was training at the beginning of the internship.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Pretty appealing if I can work in the area that interests me.
The Culture
Yes. Interns were all friendly and interested in getting to know each other. .
Pretty high. But it's London.
Good! London is a vibrant busy city.
Not really. If you seek it, you definitely can, but not readily available.
