The Role
I really enjoyed getting involved in presentations, and client work. Sometimes the more analytical work was a bit tedious, but overall useful to demonstrate what the graduate role would be like.
I felt genuinely valued by my colleagues and was made to believe that my work really was being used for clients.
My manager offered fantastic advice and was easily approachable. The buddy system was also a fantastic way to liaise with a graduate analyst.
At the beginning less so, but I always had long term projects to work on. By the end I was much busier.
Plenty of my work would be used for clients, which gave me a sense of responsibility.
There was a lot of training at the beginning, including training with all the interns across all offices. My favorite way to learn however was to ask questions throughout which people were always happy to answer.
The Company
Really friendly, easy to ask questions, and genuinely get to know people. (Leeds) We played tag rugby each week and there were plenty of drinks events to attend.
Very well organised from the beginning with 2 days down in London - one across all departments and one just investment. Biweekly calls with HR to catch up meant any problems could be reported centrally.
Got to go to the all analysts training day in London and also a further presentation day down in London. If I asked for any opportunity it was unlikely to be turned down, hence I felt really invested in.

Working from home
Fantastic - great study opportunities for CFA or actuarial exams. I believe I will keep learning each day if I remain employed by WTW.
The Culture
Yes - Leeds is a very sociable office.
Average, not cheap as such as the office is in a business area so café prices reflect this.
Leeds has plenty on.
Tag rugby, run club, ski trips etc.
