The Role
Support and guidance was given throughout the internship by both HR and my manager through regular 1-1 meetings
Generally I was quite busy on a daily basis, attending meetings and completing set tasks. But was also given enough time to learn about the business and do some independent research
I was given quite a considerable amount of responsibility during my internship, which included leading meetings.
I have definitely developed a lot of my soft skills during this internship which will assist me at university and in my future career
The Company
The general atmosphere was pleasant and friendly. My co-workers were more than happy to take time to answer any questions
The internship had been very well organised and had a good structure to it. HR did a great job with setting up insight sessions into all areas of the business and also social events at a variety of locations for the intern cohort to attend.
I was given the opportunity to attend many insight and training sessions for all areas of the business.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Working from home
Very, I really like the culture within M&G and it is definitely a place I could see myself working in the future. I hope to be offered a grad scheme
The Culture
Yes, HR put on multiple social evens for all of the interns. There were also events hosted by my team and the company in general
The cost of living and socialising in central London is reasonably high. However, the social events organised by HR were all paid for by the company. So it was easy to socialise with the other interns relatively cheaply.
Really good nightlife
Yes, as well as the social events. We got the opportunity to attend a community support day. It was nice to be able to represent the company and volunteer for the day
