The Role
It was my 4th internship and I can clearly say that it was the most enjoyable one as I learnt a lot and had a lot of opportunities to make an impact. I learnt a lot and worked on actual things. This was a very pleasant experience and I would recommend it to anyone.
I felt like I was a member of the team. The team was not huge but it was very personal - everyone treated each other as friends and I always felt like I belong there. I was definitely surrounded by very friendly and supportive people that I hope to work with later on.
My supervisor and colleagues were always available for any questions that I had. This covered any work related questions and just questions out of my curiosity. Our line manager spent 30+ minutes with each of us giving detailed feedback what was very useful and shows how much she values us and how supportive she is.
I was relatively busy but that comes with the nature of the job. However, I was happy with it as I was expecting it and it allowed me to learn a lot. Therefore, I was busy but I wanted to be busy - and that was rewarding in terms on what I learnt and where I had a chance to contribute to.
I had a chance to work on various different things and assist my analysts on daily work. In one of the projects I worked on, I had a chance to contribute to every single page and almost all of the execution - this drastically improved my skills, provided me with more industry knowledge and also great experience.
I already had some base skills but I massively built on them throughout the 9 week period. In terms of technical skills, I gained most of them in previous internships therefore I capitalized on them this summer. However, this internship allowed me to get more industry knowledge and see the big picture.
The Company
Everyone was friendly, sociable, outgoing and willing to communicate. Generally, the environment and atmosphere were great. Especially when you get to work late, it was great that the atmosphere was like that. This was general not only among analysts but among more senior people as well as you couldn't feel the 'hierarchy'.
It was extremely well organized - Barclays did a great job organizing various speaker events, networking sessions, meetings and etc. From the very first week we got lots of chances to network and meet new people. Therefore, it was a generally good experience and I doubt if I could improve it anyhow.
All of the interns received a 3 day training which involved various sessions. Besides the technical skills training that we received, we also got compliance, general culture, soft skills and other training. All of the instructors were very knowledgeable and approachable. Therefore, I believe that this training was very valuable.

I would love to receive an offer and to join the firm as a graduate analyst, however it is hard to predict whether I will get an offer or not. This is because we are not sure what number of graduates is the firm taking and how well I'm performing relative to other candidates. I would like to believe that I have good chances, however, it is hard to estimate anything.
The Culture
We didn't really go out much, however, every student interning in the firm was very friendly and cool. Therefore, whenever we hanged out together everyone had good fun. However, as in previous answers - everyone seems very friendly and generally nice people. I can clearly say that whenever we go out we have good fun.
I lived in Westferry what was literally 10 minutes away from the office and I did not have to take the tube. The costs were O.K. as I paid around 200 pounds per week and all of the utilities, wifi, etc were covered (to be specific it was LHA Davies Court). Therefore, I would say the cost of living was OK in terms of what I got and wasn't expensive.
It's not applicable as I did not have much time to party and whenever I had time - I did not. However, from what I realized - Canary Wharf is fine in terms of going out for drinks after work but it is not suitable for proper going out and clubbing.
There were plenty - we had the citizenship challenge where we had a chance to help out a charity and people in need. It was a great way of giving back to society. There were also plenty of other opportunities that I the firm organized and I think everything was well structured in terms that whoever wanted to get involved, had the chance to do so.
