The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship and the various placements and tasks I had throughout.
Everyone took the time to speak to me and help me learn regardless of their seniority.
I was given feedback and lots of guidance by my line manager but also other employees on my desk.
I was often very busy but I spent most of my time networking. I had work to do such as the trading game or my desk project but most of my days were spent sitting with people and learning.
I was given the responsibility to do important tasks for my desk, but I was always given the correct support and guidance for this.
I developed my soft skills extremely during my time on the internship and this has helped me both in my degree and in general moving forward in my career.
The Company
The atmosphere was very welcoming and reasonably relaxed. Everyone was extremely helpful and friendly.
It was very well organised and we had everything entered into our diaries for us. There were many events other than our desk placements so we were always kept busy but also always knew where to be.
The company dedicated much time and effort into helping my learning and development. This was from training sessions, skills workshops and generally people taking the time to teach me.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Future employment prospects are incredibly appealing.
The Culture
There was an excellent social scene amongst interns. I would now consider many of them my close friends.
The cost of living and socialising in London was quite high.
The nightlife was lively but also very diverse with what sort of things you could do.
There were opportunities to get involved in volunteering and lots of social events also
