Business Support Assistant Review

I've really enjoyed the internship for the majority of the placement.

I felt valued by most of my colleagues however the treatment for 1 or 2 of them, in my opinion was unfair and unjustified and so I didn't feel valued by these particular colleagues.

I think my line manager gave me support whenever I needed it and I knew she was there if I needed to go and speak to someone.

I was very busy throughout the whole internship and at times too busy.

I was given quite of lot of responsibility as I had to organise training for the FCA.

I definitely think I've learnt how to manage my time better, as well as how to prioritise my work and how not everyone will appreciate your still of work.

The general atmosphere tended to be more stressful and serious than I anticipated when I worked for one particular team, where as with the other team it was slightly more relaxed, but there sometimes was quite a bit of tension within the team.

I think the placement was relatively organised with me being given jobs to do however I felt like I was being moved around a bit from my line manager to another team.

I think they tried to develop me as a person but I sometimes felt they just wanted to get work out of me instead of also investing in me as a person.

I have enjoyed the internship and the experience, although I haven't necessarily enjoyed the team that I am in the values of the company and the work itself makes me want to stay with the company.

There was a fantastic social scene between fellow interns and graduates, however I didn't really get to spend any social time with my colleagues.

The cost of living was covered by my employer and so wasn't something I had to worry about and the cost of going out and doing things was about average/cheap and so wasn't too bad at all.

The nightlife was great, I really enjoyed going out with my fellow interns and seeing the city and going out and getting to know each other. Whether it was going out for meals and cocktails or going to a club, the nightlife was always amazing.

I don't think during any of my time on my internship was there activities outside of work that were mentioned to me, I found that I tended to be the one to organise the different activities with fellow interns but nothing in regards to with my colleagues (which may have been due to the relationship we had).
