The Role
I thought HR were brilliant in organising social events and looking after the interns. Although I felt I was not given the opportunity to grow or add value to the company at times.
I felt as though I was not given the opportunity to work on tangible projects however when shadowing and completing small jobs I felt as though I was valued.
My manager was always supportive and gave me a lot of guidance with who to spend time with however HR were not supportive in making sure we were given the opportunity to add value to myself and the company.
Most days I was busy shadowing members of the team however the days where I was unable to shadow I felt as though I could have been working on a project or a research that would have helped the team.
Even though I asked for more work my manager found it difficult to delegate any work to me thus I felt useless at times
I think I have gained a lot of new skills throughout this internship such as how to speak to clients and presentation skills. These skills I will be able to bring back to university and within my future job.
The Company
The atmosphere in the office was always warm and welcoming. With all of my colleges happy to explain and help out with anything.
I believe this is one of the most efficiently organised internships currently out there. This internship is extremely competitive within the market.
I felt as though the company spent a lot of time and money into developing and evolving my proposition and skills.
Company Parties/Events
I feel as though WTW are investing heavily in their graduates.
The Culture
Absolutely. All of the interns got along well and there were many social events set up by HR for the interns to socialise.
The cost of living for me was £0 as I lived at home however the cost of socialising was very expensive but that was expected.
The nightlife was really good as we worked right next to Shoreditch
Not really although there were many events set up my HR.
