    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • If I had to rate how much enjoyed my internship, I will give it a 9 out of 10. It is been a very amusing experience. I have the chance to work in a very empowering environnement, where I can learn from every person who works from the company. Everyday is different from each other and I have never time to get bored.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt valued by my colleagues at every moment. At any time I felt undervalued, or reduced to a miserable intern. I felt I had the autonomy and authority corresponding to a junior position. I felt my colleagues trusted me, and relied on my work. This definitely motivated me and gave me a security feeling that encouraged me during my entire work experience.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I would say that I was given support and guidance by my manager and my supervisors 100% of the times I required it. Yet I could work on my own most of the time, since my qualifications allowed me to do so, I felt I had my manager and my supervisor guidance and help at my back any time I could need it.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • During this work experience I was always super busy on a daily basis. As I take work to a very personal extend, I used to stay in the office for work much more than the required hours. By no way I would quit the offices without resolving the problems or achieving the duties of the day. So this led me to being very busy and staying long hours in the office, but this not demotivating or stressing me.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • During my placement I felt I was always given much responsibility. But this came as a sort of self motivation, since I felt this meant I was trust by my supervisors. They gave me more and more work since I managed to accomplish the one given before. In a way I felt I was achieving more levels of responsibility.

    3/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills I developed, along with the training I received will always assist me in my degree studies and beyond. I have been able to integrate them, and as a person, I will never respond in the way I did before assisting this training. I feel now a much more formed person, regarding my personal, psychological and professional skills I have learnt.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The generically atmosphere in my office was relaxed. Though everyone was concentrated at work and doing their best to achieve the position and get de CDI position, everyone was nice to each other, giving advice and help when required and a bit of fun and humor in other times.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The overall work placement of my internship set up was perfect. I was in touch with other interns as me, so I could feel at their level and more confident and relaxed. But our supervisors where next to us, at the wright placement both to help us when require or to help us concentrate.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • In terms os personal training and development I feel I was dedicated the training I needed. The first two weeks of my internship I worked with the intern I was replacing, so I was taught what to do at any time, and how to respond to any problem exactly the way I was expected to do it.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Company Parties/Events

    Staff Sales/Staff Shop

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • I would say that future employment prospects with the organization are very appealing to me. I am very interested in joining this company later, once I will have gathered the right formation and skills needed for a better position within this company. It gives me the level of challenge and the responsibilities I would like to have in the future.

    3/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The social scene amongst fellow placement students was not one of the bests. Every intern was in their department, and came from different countries, so we did not develop a very deep relationship. The social scene amongst fellow colleagues was better, since they took care at every moment to create a good relationship, proposing after our drinks and so on.

    4/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • In the area I worked in the cost of living and socializing was very expensive. I lived in London, in Shoreditch. I specially chose this placement to find myself close from the office I worked in, so this elevated the cost of developing social life and living life. The daily routine was expensive to follow.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • The nightlife in the area I worked was very active. I worked in a cool zone in London, so every night the number of people was big. Unfortunately, the internship I was involved me did not allow me to frequent night parties or to develop an active night life. The hours in which I left the offices and the level of tiredness in which I was did not make me a night going intern.

    3/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • I would say there were not many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work. First of all, the industry I work in has very scarifying work times. We start working soon and end in the AM. Second, everyone is so involved in their work, they do not get a lot of time to enjoy outside life, we just want to rest.
