The Role
I really enjoyed working at BSH. It is a great company to work for. I originally signed up for
I felt very valued by my colleagues and from day one was treated like a full employee. I was given responsibilities by day one.
I have always had a friendly face nd weekly meetings with my manager to determine my workload and have always felt they were approachable.
I was given enough tasks and was involved in projects throughout the year to keep me occupied.
I was given a lot of responsibility throughout the year. Sometimes, a lot more than I would expect as an intern.
I fully feel that the skills I have developed within my internship will assist me once I have graduated.
The Company
There is a good work/social balance within my office. My office is open plan so you always get the opportunity to talk to others about work or a quick chat in the office.
The overall work placement was well organized and there was always contacts in place if there was any problems.
We had a personal development programme for the interns.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Financial Bonus
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
The company would be very open to taking placement students back. They offer a 1 year graduate role for certain employees.
The Culture
The company provide houses to interns that are based far away, therefore there was always opportunity to meet up and socialize. We used to have TV nights together and go for nights out.
The company offer houses at a subsidised rate.
There are a few nightclubs around the area that are good to go to.
They offer charity events that you can get involved in such as tough mudder and marathons. They also offer a free yoga and fitness class on a weekday for staff.
