The Role
I really enjoyed my placement as my daily roles and responsibilities suited my skillset and cemented my future career passion
I felt very valued by my colleagues. They were very welcoming and made me feel at home from the very first day.
My manager, especially on Retail showed huge dedication t my progress throughout the year. We would have weekly catch up meetings to discuss daily tasks and what I wanted to get out of the Placement.
Most of the time, I had a lot of work to do and tasks varied depending on the day/account. If I finished work and had nothing to do, my team would always make sure I wasn't bored.
I was given huge amounts of responsibility, especially during the last 6 months. I was solely in charge of running promotions and always had tasks that I could 'own'. Working on these projects made me feel like a value member of the team, rather than just an intern.
The skills I have learnt including growing in confidence whilst presenting and the ability to analysis data and come to conclusions will be extremely useful when I go back to University.
The Company
The Retail and the Kitchen team were both very friendly towards each other and made me feel very comfortable within the office.
My whole internship was very well thought out and organized. My managers had prepared work for us beforehand and therefore I knew what I was doing throughout
BSH provided us with a lot of training including a well-planned Intern Training Program. These included Time and Priority Management, Planning Meeting and Customer Service Skills. I also undertook various Bosch, Siemens and NEFF product training so I was fully knowledgeable on my position.

Working from home
Future employment is highly appealing as the internship program has been such a success
The Culture
All of the interns got on extremely well with each other and attended various social events. It became a very close knit community.
Living in Wolverton, there wasn't much to do but we were not too far away from Milton Keynes. Being provided with a house for the duration of our internship was very convenient for ourselves.
The nightlife wasn't too bad once you got into the centre of Milton Keynes - It wasn't quite the Uni night life though!
There were various social groups outside of work in which interns could join including football and gyms.
