The Role
Thoroughly enjoyed the internship throughout. There was a mix of client interaction, calculations and socials that were really engaging.
Felt like part of the team from the start of the internship and felt like my work made a difference and people were very appreciative of me lending a hand.
I was encouraged to ask as many questions as possible and no question was too silly. I also felt very well supported by my manager which really helped me settle into Aon.
I varied, but on most days I had a good amount of work. At times I had too much/too little but it did not last long.
I wasn't given a huge amount of responsibiliy with Aon clients but we were given a lot of responsibility when working on a charity project, this was very engaging.
All the skills I have learned at Aon will most definitely help me for my degree studies and beyong. It has furthered my analytical, excel, interpersonal and organisational skills which I think have been very important.
The Company
Very friendly atmosphere and most people are willing to engage in conversation. It is a hot desking environment which allows everyone to choose whatever desk you would like, this allows you to speak to more people and learn more.
Very well organised. Started with a 3 day training session with all the Aon interns over the UK. This was really fun as we got to stay in a hotel together and meet all the interns. From then there were many training sessions and presentation days that were planned in the calander and made it easy to set targets/deadlines.

Very appealing as the atmosphere and culture is brilliant.
The Culture
AMAZING social scene, lots of events interns can get involved with. I joined the Aon netball team and played in weekly matches which was really fun. I also attended puib quizs, pub crawl/quiz, trip to manchester to play netball and celebratory exam drinks.
London is very expensive and the cost of living is very high.
Nightlife is brilliant however, need a lot money to spend on the nightlife.
Yes loads! As I mentioned I joined the netball team and also ran the JP Morgan Corporate challenge run with Aon.
