The Role
I have thoroughly enjoyed my internship. UBS as a firm has a great culture which is apparent through its intelligent and approachable employees.
Loved the team I was placed in, they were all so friendly and they made me feel like I was part of the team straight away.
I joined at a time where my team were going through some changes - therefore the person that I reported to on a daily basis changed.
Perfect balance between day-to-day responsibilities and the opportunity to network, shadow and get involved in extra curricular activities.
I was given a lot of responsibility and quickly gained the trust of my team to take on more challenging tasks such as directly communicating with clients.
I can proudly say that I have gained skills for life, these include not only technical skills that are brought about from working within an Investment Bank, but also interpersonal skills such as communication, planning and organisation, and judgment and decision-making which can be utilised beyond the workplace.
The Company
I was surrounded by great people!
Well organised and there was good communication between HR, GTP Coordinator and myself.
UBS invests a great deal into their employees and that is not different for the interns. I felt as if everybody I approached was always willing to help me and give me advice.

The Culture
Yes - got on with many of the interns!
Cost of living is quite high in London - but that's what you get when you opt to work in an amazing financial hub!
Only went out a couple of times, however the night life is great in London.
Yes - I took up opportunities to volunteer which I really enjoyed.
