The Role
Great work atmosphere and colleagues - highly collaborative environment - great networking events - strong support from HRs - great trainings and trading/investment games - very fair environment - strong support from buddies and mentors during the internship - clearly felt an improvement of my technical and soft skills.
I got involved in all the clients meeting, current projects, internal meetings and daily tasks of the desks. Got also invited to all the team after work drinks and activities
Daily feedbacks from my colleagues and felt very comfortable sharing my concerns with my line manager.
100% busy
Could not get more responsibilities ! felt truly a member of the team
Everyone in the floor is willing to spend some time with the interns explaining how the bank is organized, answering technical questions, giving us advices to network in a more efficient manner. I would have done this summer internship even without being paid as you get training from experts.
The Company
- Highly collaborative environment (many internal meetings - teamworks) - Client-focus principle (the teams always think on client's best interests) - Multicultural environment: many nationalities in the floor - No competition between different desks - Flexibility at work: eg. possibility to work from home - Internal mobility: eg. programs such as Rotation 100 - Integrity of the employees - Very challenging environment: eg. regulatory challenges - organizational challenges
- Very good organization overall: trainings offered were well-adapted, motivational speakers very inspiring - good networking events -Really enjoyed the mini-rotations the first 2 weeks - Maybe would be great next year to organize a 1 week rotation in FRC trading floor and get involved in some projects - Would be also good to have different sales pitches eg. derivatives products pitches
We got all the necessary training.

I really think UBS is a great place to work having done previous internships before.
The Culture
yes - Shoreditch neighbourhood and Liverpool street are great places to socialize with a lot of restaurants/bars etc.
Not that cheap but we have a good salary so it is not a problem.
Shoreditch is full of nice bars
