The Role
I very much enjoyed my internship as everyone gave me relevant and interesting tasks to complete in two great teams.
Everyone appreciated my work. It was a pleasure to work with them.
My buddy, other young team members, line and team managers all attempted to give me guidance and support throughout the internship.
Reasonably busy. I was given many tasks, but completing them was always doable without losing my mind.
As much as I could possibly be given. I talked to clients about my work and was given an essential project for senior management to complete.
I learned mostly how to improve my professionalism and networking skills Especially the networking skills I appreciate having learned.
The Company
Collaborative and not too stressed.
More or less. The business organised their part very well, but the set-up of my desktop took 4 days and I was sent the wrong information on my rotations beforehand. Room for improvement there from HR side.
Business members and senior management all spent a good amount of their time with me to teach me about their products as well as necessary skills. The intern events are probably expensive as well and the three training days in the beginning helpful, but as my main takeaways were networking skills there wasn't much investment necessary for those.
Company Parties/Events
I came to appreciate the organisation greatly and hope it continues its change towards more innovation. I seriously consider working for the organisation in the future, even if I decided to not take my offer at the moment due to personal motivations.
The Culture
Yes, not much in my division but among other interns there were lots of free time activities. I enjoyed spending free time with other colleagues more than with fellow interns.
The area (Spitalfields) is fantastic to live in and cheap for London in a few places. Still, there was only limited time for this.
No experience.
The few activities outside of work were mostly with my colleagues. I was lucky they invited me to football, dinners, karting and foosball.
