The Role
Highly enjoyed it. A year full of learning and experiencing what solid working life is like without being treated like a student, but instead a colleague.
Extremely valued. I was given the same tasks as anybody would and was treated as if I am part of the team and any opinions/input I had was valid.
Had an extremely supportive, friendly and inspiring line manager and was given great support from colleagues in everything regardless of whether it was work related or not. Any mistakes were treated as a learning curve rather than feeeling 'guilty' or 'stupid' for making it.
Varied over the year.. if ever the workload was too much or too less you can easily speak to your manager or whoever is leading the project and they will help you accordingly.
Some projects that I led and had the greatest contribution, and some where I was assisting. Tasks were split up, some of which I was responsible for and some I was not.
Greatly. In terms of balancing workload, time, and being disciplined along with many tasks which have allowed me to put into practice what I have learnt in yr 1 and 2.
The Company
Open plan, very friendly, diverse and welcoming. Hot desking so no fixed seats but each team did have their unofficial dedicated area where we all sat together. Charity events and cake sales across the year which made everyone come together. Everyone knew everyone.
Organised, some problems here and there with not being paid on time by SRG, but other than that- very smooth.
Internal training. Also paid for the ITIL foundation course.
Flexi Time
Subsidised/Company Gym
Working from home
Have not applied for anything as off yet, but would certainly be interested to do so in the future.
The Culture
Yes, everyone knew each other- there were social event amongst IPs often outside work hours.
Lived at home so not a lot, just commuting.
No much in the immediate area but close commute to central London.
Orange day which allows you to dedicate a working day to voluntary activities.
