The Role
Overall the internship was great. The work was varied and you were given a lot of responsibility with reports produced being used in client meetings and being sent out to members in pension schemes. There was also a charity project which adds another element. It was also very social with the option of drinks happening every week with colleagues or other interns.
There is no divide between you and the team.
Any questions you had you were able to ask your buddy.
It is a slow start at first as you need to show you are able to do the smaller tasks. However it does get busier as the internship progresses. You are also able to work on your charity project if you have any spare time.
You were given a lot of responsibility with reports produced being used in client meetings and being sent out to members in pension schemes.
The soft skills you learn are invaluable such as working in a team and communicating effectively.
The Company
It was a friendly atmosphere. The team was reasonably young so it was good conversation and good fun.
Very well organised.
Lots of meetings/workshops each week and in the induction weekend. Also had senior members of different teams talk about their respective areas to give a broader understanding of the business.
Flexi Time
Sports and Social Club
Company Parties/Events
The Culture
Very social. Summer party and other events were put on that interns were able to go to. Also had drinks every week.
London is expensive.
It is London so plenty of choices. East London is 10 mins walk away from the office and there are many bars around the office.
Opportunities to get involved in cricket, netball, 5-a-side and running.
