The Role
I really enjoyed working at Enterprise as I was able to actually use the theory picked up from my uni lectures into practical application.
The team atmosphere is really positive and everyone is keen to help you progress and do well. There are also a lot of incentives and recognition/rewards for when you do a good job, from branch lunches to Starbucks runs on busy days right through to financial incentives for hitting targets.
Everyone is keen for you to do well because if you do well the whole branch looks good too, so everyone is really supportive and patient.
Very busy, the atmosphere is very busy but I find this makes the days fly by, I cant believe how quickly these three months have passed.
From day one I was given a lot of responsibility as the best way to learn at Enterprise is to learn as you go. I didnt feel like an intern, instead I felt like a valued team member. You're encouraged to set up and pursue your own corporate accounts right from day one which also gives you great networking experience.
Massively, working at Enterprise isnt just about renting cars, I was exposed to all areas of the business right from Marketing of our Car Club through to general sales experience, customer service, chasing bad debt and everything in between!
The Company
The atmosphere is very highly charged especially when its busy but the whole team pulls together providing a really positive team environment.
Really really well organised, right from the assessment day through to regular training events you can tell Enterprise is investing a lot in you and providing you with all the tools for promotion.
What I liked best was how clear everything was for me, I was given checklists to pass each stage through to promotion and there was regular training. Training events happen at regular intervals with the group you are with at the assessement centre.
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Enterprise prides itself from hiring within, so once you complete an internship you are encouraged to stay on as a Campus Brand Manager or part time while you complete your final year of studies, and the is always the opportunity to work for the company after graduation.
The Culture
Really good social scene, there are always work nights out/meals out going on.
My internship was in Cardiff which is affordable to live and socialise.
Cardiff nightlife is amazing!
There are opportunities to work community days which could be working at Gay Pride or climbing a mountain to raise money for charity with other employees.
