About You
I thoroughly enjoyed the insight day. The day was varied, with a mixture of presentations (led by graduate recruiters and partners) and hands-on activities. I particularly enjoyed the group exercise and the opportunity to present our proposals to the partners. The day strengthened my resolve to apply to the firm for a vacation scheme.
I felt extremely valued during my time at the firm as everyone was extremely friendly. I appreciated the detailed response to any queries I had and left the offices feeling as though I had all the information I could possibly have gained from the day.
There was plenty of support during the first part of the day, however, there was less guidance during the group exercise. This was something I preferred, however, as it gave a more accurate reflection of what a group exercise would be like at an assessment centre. We were given plenty of feedback on the exercise enabling us to improve in future scenarios.
The group exercise was what developed the most skills. It enhanced my experience of working in a team and working to a deadline.
The Company
The day was extremely well structured and everything ran to time.
The atmosphere was extremely friendly in terms of both the firm's representatives and my fellow attendees.
Everything Else
There were plenty of opportunities, both over lunch and once the activities were finished for the day.
I found out about these activities through networking with trainees, so whilst it wasn't really a part of the presentations, the information was available should attendees choose to seek it out.
