The Role
The internship was stimulating and increasingly testing. This is something that is brilliant about the FCA, the fact that you have the opportunity to learn so much and you are given real responsibility.
My colleagues treated me as an equal throughout my time. I felt like I was an employee and not an intern.
I had one to one support every week with my line manager to discuss my progress and areas for improvement. This really helped my development.
There is always new things to do and learn throughout the day. The work is varied and stimulating.
My project was of utmost importance to my team with a very tight deadline. I was given an integral role and the project would not have been able to be completed without my input.
The analysis skills I have gained will truly help me with my studies because the logical thinking and thought processes will carry me forward in everything I do.
The Company
Everyone works hard, with a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
The work placement was brilliantly organised. I could learn about my own sector but also all the other divisions within the FCA through learning lunches and my own graduate buddy.
This is one aspect that truly stands out about the FCA. The FCA has some of the best training and support I've encountered.

Every intern is given the opportunity to be considered for the graduate scheme and this is dependent on your performance throughout.
The Culture
Yes, we would have drinks most weeks or other events throughout Canary Wharf and London.
Socialising in London is very expensive as expected.
Canary Wharf has lots of bars, but clubs are only a few stops on the tube.
We experienced a Community Responsibility day which was a lot of fun, helping out in the local area, playing and decorating with children aged 4-12 years.
