The Role
Atmosphere was great, full time employees were more then happy to help me.
My team encouraged me to contribute and valued any contribution I made.
The buddy system works extremely well, mine went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure I was comfortable and had access to all the information and exposure I required to make the most of my time with the firm
I always had projects to work on though you do have to be proactive to get the good jobs! Show you're willing to work hard and people will give you interesting tasks
I was giving tasks which really added value, though it was stressful it was much more exciting working on projects which I knew would affect the firm I the long run.
I was given extensive training to maximise my employability, my team focused on giving me tasks which would benefit me as much as it would the team
The Company
Depends on the desk, some are always up for a night out others are a lot more work focused, it's a good balance between the two!
Most of the internship was well planned, some of the communications could have been more organised however
I learnt a lot more during my internship then I could have imagined, I had to show I was willing to learn and then people invested time In teaching me
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
I worked hard and it seems to have paid off
The Culture
It was pretty cut throat, some people will see you as competition and behave accordingly, you just have to find the people who are more on your level
It's London.
Good if you're into suits and shirts
Yes if you get on well with the team you are assigned!
