The Role
Early mornings were difficult to adjust to but people were really nice and helpful and the job interesting.
It's difficult to feel valued when you do very little actual work, more watching and learning but the people were always friendly and eager to help you learn how things worked.
Everyone always had time to talk you through what they were doing and why even when things got really busy.
Mostly watching and listening, although the longer term projects given also keep you busy.
The Company
A lot more laid back and fun than I anticipated.
Very organised with many points of contact available with HR if there were any problems.
We all had standard training on the areas we were involved in as well as a general grounding in financial services. I was also sent to hedge fund for the day to see how the buy side worked.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
I'd say better than any other company in the financial sector at the moment
The Culture
Yeah there were some good guys (and some not so good...)
Standard inner city prices - extortionate!
Inner city London so pretty awesome
There were loads, mixed touch rugby, staff nights out etc.
