The Role
Great experience, much better than I expected.
Felt valued by some colleagues but not others - some are incredibly friendly and helpful but others do not seem to want to associate with an intern.
Lots of support available and was able to give/receive feedback at many stages along the way.
I always had plenty of work to do but never felt overloaded, just right. First training week was a little slow for somebody with experience.
For the majority of the time on the placement I was working on a real project for a client, which was fantastic. Would have liked the opportunity to have spent a little time in a leadership/organisational role, even on a small in-house project.
I've learnt to use lots of new technologies and be more analytical about my work, which will certainly help me with the rest of my studies.
The Company
In general relaxed, friendly and fun. Sometimes the fun made it too noisy to concentrate however and there were a lot of distractions.
Fantastically organised! Company was ready for interns to begin and the internship process seemed well rehearsed from start to finish.
Staff gave presentations during the first two weeks and we were given training exercises to complete on our own with guidance where required. This guidance continued as we worked on real projects.

Would like to work for the company, but there is a big dominant group at the office who all have the same personality, making it hard to fit in.
The Culture
Most fellow interns took part in social events organised by the company.
Bristol is an expensive place to live, but it's a fantastic city and there's plenty you can do for free when socialising.
Bristol nightlife is fantastic! Was a shame that nobody else at the company wanted to take advantage of this.
Lots of out of work activities - several things on per week. Some of these were subsidised by the company.
