  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • I really enjoyed working at Santander, I was given a lot of responsibility and my own work to complete independently which would help my team do their jobs.

    • I felt like a member of the team, valued and equal

    • Myself and both my manager and grad buddy has weekly one to ones, and I sat with them so whenever I needed help I could just ask

    • Quite busy, though I had to organise my own time

    • I was responsible for the delivery of a project proposal, which is important for the bank.

    • very much relevant to my course and to future employment

    • Relaxed, inclusive, all working for one goal

    • Santander gave us training to set us up for the internship and helped us to realise how we can develop different skills.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • Yes, good CSR project raising money in groups for charity

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?

    • I commuted, which was quite expensive but cheaper than renting in addition to my uni rent.

    • No, I never stayed

    • Yes, lots of discovery days and team building exercises like go karting
