The Role
I really enjoyed working at Santander, I was given a lot of responsibility and my own work to complete independently which would help my team do their jobs.
I felt like a member of the team, valued and equal
Myself and both my manager and grad buddy has weekly one to ones, and I sat with them so whenever I needed help I could just ask
Quite busy, though I had to organise my own time
I was responsible for the delivery of a project proposal, which is important for the bank.
very much relevant to my course and to future employment
The Company
Relaxed, inclusive, all working for one goal
Organised, a few too many intern logs!
Santander gave us training to set us up for the internship and helped us to realise how we can develop different skills.
Very, I hope to get on the grad scheme
The Culture
Yes, good CSR project raising money in groups for charity
I commuted, which was quite expensive but cheaper than renting in addition to my uni rent.
No, I never stayed
Yes, lots of discovery days and team building exercises like go karting
