The Role
My manager was very supportive and gave me regular one to ones with good feedback. I came from a non-finance background and my team really helped me get to grips with the tools they use and work they do.
The Company
The office was quite quiet and not very social, but my team was much more welcoming, with a more collaborative feel.
The work that my team set up for me was well organised and I had clearly defined daily tasks. However, other aspects (such as the CSR project) felt a little less organised.
I had access to the company's online training facilities and was encouraged to make use of them.
There is a reputable graduate scheme with competitive pay, good holiday, and the opportunity to study for reputable accounting qualifications with financial incentives.
The Culture
Virtually non-existent.
I worked in the centre of Manchester, so going out to eat and drink could be done cheaply, but erred on the expensive side. I lived at home, so am not sure of the cost of living.
I do not know.
We were encouraged to take part in Santander's Community Days.
