The Role
Fantastic opportunity, would love to come back.
Almost feel like a full timer, your opinions are highly valued by all colleagues. This doesn't mean you're some kind of celebrity who people go to for your opinion, but it does mean if you have an idea you will be listened to.
Unfortunately my manager was on maternity leave for half of my internship, however I was given a different manager for the time being, and a personal mentor to teach me things.
Comes in bursts, depends on the job role...
A lot of responsibility, makes you feel very valued. always a team to back you up if you get bogged down too.
Fantastic amount of training, great personal development. Meeting people who inspire you for life. Certificates for your CV, qualifications.
The Company
So much money was spent on personal development, from team building to work life balance seminars.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
You have to be pretty lucky to get a job, i think about 3/6 out of 100 interns get the graduate job. Unfortunately even if you're fantastic in your internship with recommendations from a lot of people it all comes down to the application process as to whether you get the job.
The Culture
Because of the many interns, so nights out are planned and you can make friends quickly and easily. Reading is not a bad night out!
So many opportunities to get involved in many activities outside of work.
