The Role
Had a lot of fun with the work and social side.
Was really included in the team and everyone was very friendly.
I felt like guidance was available when I needed it and I was supported by my counselor who helped me make goals for my internship and ensure I achieved them.
Experienced quite a lot of downtime but was also put on some really interesting projects and attended interesting meetings.
Just the right amount - I was given real tasks but there was always someone to turn to or check over my work if I needed it.
I think the main skills I developed was confidence and getting familiar with the office environment which will be really useful for later.
The Company
Really friendly and welcoming and they always made time for fun as well as work.
From the induction week where we were had accommodation in London and lots of social and introductory activities, right through to the amazing leaving party at a 5 star hotel everything was really well-organised.
There wasn't any specific personal training or development programme but we were encouraged to ask a lot of questions throughout and given the opportunity to learn a lot.

I got offered a job with them to start next September which is great!
The Culture
During the induction week there were so many social activities and we were all staying in accommodation together so by the time the work started we already knew all the other interns which was great because if not, we'd have all been in separate teams all over the office. We had a great leaving party as well.
Since it was central London it was pretty expensive but there were a few places with long happy hours and cheap options available.
It was mainly pubs and bars which was perfect for the working week.
We were told about and encouraged to join networks within the organisation which are a bit like university societies but I didn't really explore this option.
