The Role
Tasks were varied and often involved travelling between different client sites. The company made a real effort to ensure that all interns had adequate support and worked hard to provide networking opportunities.
I was able to extend my internship for a further four weeks based on a client site, which made me feel like I was making a real and useful contribution to the team.
Both my EY buddy and my counsellor made sure that I received regular feedback on any task that I carried out, and provided me with advice on how to improve.
Generally the work on client sites varied, sometimes I had to work through the day to make sure that projects were completed on time, and other days I was given filler tasks to ensure that I had enough to do.
I was able to interact with clients, and often felt responsible for maintaining Ernst and Young's reputation during every external meeting that I attended.
The skills and training that I received will help me structure my time better when completing my degree.
The Company
The atmosphere, although tense at times when major deadlines were due, was largely friendly and supportive.
The overall work placemen was extremely well organised, with plenty of social events to ensure that work did not dominate our lifestyles.
I received regular support and advice throughout my internship, and feel that the training sessions provided will give me a real advantage when rejoining the firm as a graduate

Very appealing, I have accepted a Graduate job offer from the firm.
The Culture
The firm ensured that every Intern had opportunities to socialise, and being part of a big office helped me connect with my colleagues. Overall I feel confident that the friendships that I have made over the summer will continue throughout the rest of my working life.
Being from London I am used to quite high prices, but if you shop around there are plenty of good deals to be had - over the course of the summer we became experts on which venues had good deals, ensuring that we didn't spend too much.
Working in London gave us access to the best Nightlife in the country
I welcomed the opportunity to socialise with my older colleagues, and particularly enjoyed our corporate social responsibility days, where we were given the opportunity to give something to the local community
