The Role
I really enjoyed my internship, I don't think you would find another that allowed you to do 10 weeks of field sales independently so was a completely new experience.
My colleagues were lovely and supportive.
The training weeks placed throughout the three months really helped to set yourself up and develop throughout the process.
I would start at 8.30 planning out my route for sales each day. Head off at 9 and be back around 4. There was definitely enough time to reach 12 stores each day. On the three training weeks you get they were well planned and very informative.
I was given a lot but not in the way it was stressful. You are working on your own for 10 weeks selling to your own home area so it is really up to you how much you do and how much you push yourself.
The sales training at the beginning was really helpful and something i will remember. Once you are out on the road its your time to put what you have learnt into practice and you can always contact head office if you want advice.
The Company
We were not in the office much but it seemed upbeat and positive.
Parts of the internship were really well organised like contracts and meetings. In the first few days different managers would come out with contradictory comments about how we were supposed to sell the items and pricing but that was fixed by the end of the first week.

Working from home
I have been offered a graduate role with the company so at the moment they are very appealing.
The Culture
You were allowed to work from home and when you had the training weeks they would put us up in a hotel with your room and all food paid for. There wasn't any socialising when working from home but when coming back for the training weeks we would go out for dinner with our boss and go to the pub most days after work with the other interns.
No there wasn't but that was partly because we were working all over the country.
