The Role
Enterprise was a massive shock to the system, with being a usual university student of not much work and lots of Netflix. However, You do get used to the 50+ hour weeks. It takes time, but it does change your work ethic and makes you value your time off. Also, the people who I worked with made the job.
I did feel valued by my colleagues. However, there were numerous time where my jobs never seemed as important as the other full time permanent members of staff.
Whenever I asked for help I received it. My manager and the whole team were very supportive of me and helped me at every corner
My branch was usually very busy with at least 25+ deals per day. However, this made the day go faster.
I was given a lot of responsibly during my internship. I was given the role of sales captain in which I managed solely throughout my time with the sales area eventually achieving the 3 champs points for the branch.
I believe this internship will set me apart from a lot of university graduates. It has taught my leadership, work ethic, flexibility, communication and many other valuable traits that will assist me in my degree and my future career.
The Company
The atmosphere in my office was mostly positive and upbeat and everyone was up for having a laugh and a joke whilst doing work. however, like most places, the office atmosphere could change with a period of stress which could put members of staff on edge. But, 99% of the time the office was a great and fun place to be.
It was very organized with many training days set in line with the gradual progression of our learning. there was always check ups on us to see how we were getting on and I believe the whole scheme was very well thought out.
The management team were always keen on ensuring my training folder was up to date and I was always learning and enhancing my skills of enterprise and the general employable skills.
Company Parties/Events
Enterprise is brilliant for people who want a career. Enterprise is not for people who just want a job for a few years. The beginning of the job isn't incredibly enjoyable, its the future career prospects that are appealing for this organization.
The Culture
There were many training events in which I was reunited with my original employees who I was trained with. on these events there were often many drinks and lots of laughter.
Nottingham is a fairly cheap are to live in. The average pint is probably around £3.20 and you can get a decent meal for around £10. living is also fairly cheap form the area I was brought up in.
the nightlife in Nottingham is class
there were many opportunities to socialize outside of work. Enterprise have so many events and pride themselves on socializing. there is always drinks after work and there is always something going on what you can get involved in.
