    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Really enjoyed! Great team, loads of variety in the role and so many areas for progression. Over 12 weeks there is so much time to learn and develop and the time flies by.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I was always treated as a valued member of the team and was very lucky to have so much responsibility within the branch from the beginning.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My area manager was amazing as was my branch manager. They were constantly looking out for my best interests and making sure I was happy within the role.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • On a regular day we were really busy, constantly having customers in the branch. When we weren't with customers there were so many different other jobs that we had to do. Corporate accounts, safety assessments, lots of other work to do

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given loads of responsibility as at my branch there were only two other members of staff so I had to learnt to do much more quickly. I was made Branch Corporate Account Manager after expressing that I wanted to take as much as possible away from the internship and was coached through the role.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The key thing I will take away is that you can do a lot more in a day than you think. If you have the right team and you are driven the difference you can make is incredible. It makes you more flexible with all the different roles and responsibilty

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Great! When people are happy to be at work because they can see the end goal of progression it makes a real difference.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very well for the head office side, we had training beforehand so we understood what we would be doing a bit better.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
