The Role
I was given a very wide range of experiences in a short space of time and found them all most enjoyable.
I was given a good level of responsibility and tasks that were sufficiently demanding and interesting for me to do.
Everybody in the firm was very helpful and more than happy to guide me with any issues that I had.
The amount of work varied because my internship was during the summer months when work levels tend to be lower. There was usually something to be getting on with that was worthwhile though, and I wasn't given more work than I could cope with.
It increased steadily throughout the 6 weeks as I became more confident and understood more. I really valued being trusted to engage with clients with less supervision and to be able to complete tasks that contributed to the teams I was working with.
I learnt a lot about the basics of auditing in a very short space of time, especially since everything was very new to me when I started. The skills and experience I gained will be invaluable when I begin working next year.
The Company
It varied widely because I was working at many different client sites, but was generally excellent.
Overall very well organised, especially at a regional level. A lot of effort had gone into our induction, and client work and shadowing opportunities were planned in advance to give us a really wide range of experiences.
A lot. There was very much a sense that we were wanted and that we were valuable to them. In many ways we were treated the same as new graduates.

Company Parties/Events
I was delighted to receive a job offer almost immediately after ending my internship.
The Culture
Reasonable - I got to know my fellow interns a little but we were mainly based at different clients and didn't see each other that often. We did organise a few socials in the evenings but the office location was not ideal for this.
I lived at home and so the costs were not unreasonable.
I imagine almost non-existent in the vicinity of the office but I didn't consider that was at all important for me!
There were a small number of social activities organised in the office but not very many.
