The Role
I learnt so much and the experience made me realise that analytical science is the career path I would like to follow.
Everyone was very welcoming and the whole office bonded well.
Support and help were constantly provided when it was needed.
This varied with the amount of studies there was within a week.
I was allowed to perform all analysis alone but would of liked to have fully reported my results.
I have returned to university much more confident in a lab.
The Company
Everyone worked together well.
GSK was very organised with placement students.
A lot of personal training of equipment was given throughout the year.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Would love to work for GSK again.
The Culture
Yes, GSK enmploys plenty of industrial placement students.
It was close to London so was the most expensive place I have personally ever lived.
Ok for what I needed.
It depends how actuve you were within the town.
