The Role
It was my first internship, but I believe that it was one of the best internships I could possibly have. I learned a lot and actually I liked the company and its culture so much that I will stay as a full-time employee.
All of my colleagues made me feel welcome from the first day. Especially my buddy helped me with all the details of the work and he was always made sure that I am pleased with what I am working on.
Both my manager and my buddy were making sure throughout the internship that I enjoy what I am doing and they were helping me whenever I needed to.
Generally, I wasn't super busy, however I was spending the day on valuable tasks.
A lot. Actually, what I did had a direct impact for the business.
I learned how to write code for a real business problem and especially I realised the importance of a good documentation.
The Company
Everybody was friendly, very welcoming and helpful when needed. The culture in general is amazing!
Very organised. I knew who to ask for whichever problem I may had, and I could find most o the information I wanted online in the business wiki.
They offered me a full-time position. From the beginning I could feel that they were investing a lot on me, allowing me to learn parts of what they do that I wasn't directly involved.

The Culture
Yes. There were many parties and social events organized by the company almost every week, so you had the chance to meet many new people and network.
The cost of living and sociailising is very high in London, however Expedia's salary is good enough to be able to enjoy yourself often enough.
London is the city that never sleeps, so nightlife is awesome.
Of course. Since you leave work at 5:30-6pm, you can get involved in whatever activity you want.
