The Role
Great experience, learned a lot and the other interns made for a great atmosphere.
Never really felt like a real part of any sub-team.
Colleagues often left you to own devices to complete work but were available to help when asked.
I sometimes took on too much work; I will remember not to in the future its not fun !
I was responsible fully for searching for work as well as completing it. I feel I was given as much responsibility as any intern.
Commercial awareness developed may help me in my studies but mainly the soft skills gained and feel for EY should allow me to progress quicker than say someone joining straight onto the graduate scheme (I hope!).
The Company
Pretty good, everyone was quite a laugh.
Pretty organized on the whole but I was only offered lots of very small pieces of work.
The partner shadow day was a nice touch and obviously a partner's time is expensive !
Got the job .
The Culture
80 interns on the placement so there were plenty of after work drinks.
Rent is high but there are cheap places to eat and drink if you know what's around.
OK but expensive !
Nothing other than standard socials.
